Valve destroyed the tf2 artstyle?

I sound like an old fag when I say valve ruined tf2 by adding non fitting hats. Has are OK as long as they fit the class. I think there should not be people running around with medieval shit alien shit Japanese shit and shit from other games. One of the best things about tf2 was that it was a shooter with an art style and frankly I find valve has ruined the tf2 art style.

well it adds great fantasy aspect to it, like you have people charging at you with swords or shooting you with lazors. i personaly like the joking side to tf2 it is a game that feels much looser than games like cod. it may seem out of place but its hilarious to play.

Fantasy? Tf2 is a game set in the 1960's with some advanced tech but not alien level.

The joke side comes with the idea of tf2. Two companies (RED and BLU) build bases right next to each other and fight with nine cloned mercenaries.
On top of that you have all the funny lines of dialogue and text. Also Saxton Hale and Jarate. It is possible to make it funny without adding out of place shit.

Think of a game that can be modded like half life 2.

Now Imagine the combine running around with pink hats the crowbar replaced with a fish and alyx replaced freaking some anime girl. It just doesn't fit in a ruins the whole world and style of the game.

I didn't even know that tf2 had an art style when I saw it so I guess you are right with the runied thing but I don't care to much for tf2.
